Under the French G7 Presidency, Banque de France and the French Ministry for Economy and Finance are organizing a high-level Conference on:

“Competition in a Globalized World: the Role of Public Policies”

In the presence of:

Bruno Le Maire, French Minister for the Economy and Finances
François Villeroy de Galhau, Governor of the Banque de France
Margrethe Vestager, European Commissioner for Competition

Three sessions will be dedicated respectively to:

- The importance of competition for economic growth and wages
- New challenges for competition policies in a global and digital world
- Competition and regulation in the financial sector

The Conference aims to promote exchanges of views and experiences, bringing together policymakers, academics and regulatory and anti-trust authorities. A policy panel on the future of competition policies will close the Conference. The working language will be English.
