Strengthening the international financial architecture is one of the major priorities of the Chinese presidency of the G20 in 2016. To contribute to achieving this goal, France is co-chairing the G20 working group on this subject with Korea.
The group is dedicated to discussing reforms to foster the stable functioning and orderly evolution of the international monetary system. The main topics will be the reform of quotas and of the governance of the IMF; the role of the SDR in the international monetary system; restructurings of sovereign debt; the Global Financial Safety Net (GFSN); cross-border capital flows and capital flow management measures.
