The Banque de France offers central banks and public institutions more than a century of expertise in banknote manufacture, including in printing, the production of banknote and security papers, and the development of innovations and security features. It also provides central banks with specialist guidance in banknote authentication and money issuance.
The International Banking and Finance Institute (IBFI) is attached to the Banque de France and provides central banks with training, technical assistance and opportunities to share their experience. Each year, IBFI organises more than 40 training seminars for nearly 3,000 participants from around the world.
