Our SPASER

The Schéma de Promotion des Achats publics Socialement et Écologiquement Responsables (SPASER – Scheme for the Promotion of Socially and Environmentally Responsible Public Procurement): in response to the climate emergency, the Banque de France aims to set an example by making purchases that are more environmentally, socially and economically responsible. To this end, it has formalised its commitments in the form of objectives, actions and indicators, and set them out in the SPASER published for 2024-26.
Acheter responsable

The SPASER defines and guides our responsible purchasing approach, with the aim of making our public procurement a driver of social, economic and ecological transition. It sets out measurable commitments for the Banque de France’s purchases in terms of their environmental impact, use of the circular economy and contribution to social inclusion and economic sustainability.

At the Banque de France, we are implementing an ambitious SPASER scheme, aligned with our values and our missions:

  • systematic assessment of the environmental, social and ethical impacts of our purchases
  • promotion of sustainable practices
  • encouraging social inclusion, particularly through partnerships with sheltered companies and centres that provide work opportunities for people with disabilities
  • monitoring and transparency: our actions and results associated with the SPASER are published every two years to ensure a responsible and measurable approach
