Interest rates on deposits - 2025-05

- In May 2025, the average remuneration on outstanding bank deposits held by households and non-financial corporations (NFCs) decreased by 2 basis points (bps) compared to April 2025, reaching 1.53%.
- Remuneration rates on new deposit agreements continued to decline for both households and NFCs, with the sharpest decrease observed on time deposits with agreed maturities up to two years (-10 bps between April and May for households and for NFCs).

b. For overnight deposits and savings accounts, the rate on new contracts is assumed to be equal to the rate on outstanding amounts.
c. Regulated rates passbooks include "Livrets A", blue passbooks, sustainable development passbooks, home savings plans, youth passbooks and people's savings passbooks.
