French Presidency of the G7 in 2019

France holds the rotating presidency of the G7 in 2019. It thus sets the agenda for the work to be performed throughout the year and is responsible for organising the various G7 meetings, culminating in the summit of Heads of State and Government to be held on 24-26 August 2019 in Biarritz. It takes over from Canada, which chaired the G7 in 2018, and will pass on the presidency of the G7 to the United States in 2020.
