Visuel - Green Finance Research Advances 2026
Invitation

We invite academics, regulators and professionals to submit research papers for the 11th edition of the conference, which will take place in Paris, at the premises of the Banque de France, and online on December 8th and 9th, 2026. The conference will feature keynote presentations, contributed talks and a poster session.

The special emphasis of this year’s edition will be on financing resilience in a changing world, with a particular focus on physical climate risks, nature and water-related challenges, energy sovereignty, sustainable investment after the ESG backlash, and the implications of technological and regulatory uncertainty for the transition.

We welcome the submission of research papers on the following and other relevant topics:

  • Nature and water-related challenges and adaptation finance, including ecosystem restoration, nature-based solutions and financing mechanisms for resilience.
  • Physical climate risks, including natural disasters, chronic climate impacts, macro-financial effects and financial stability implications.
  • Insurance and protection gaps, including climate-related losses, disaster risk financing and public-private risk-sharing mechanisms.
  • Energy sovereignty and transition resilience, including energy independence, strategic dependencies and green reindustrialization.
  • Sustainable investment in a changing environment, including ESG, green investment strategies and transition finance after the backlash.
  • Climate information, AI and data tools, including climate misinformation, artificial intelligence, environmental impacts of data centers, and models, metrics and scenarios for risk assessment.
