Call for Applications: Young Researchers in Green Finance Award 2026

The Banque de France supports research in the green finance sector with the "Young Researchers in Green Finance" Award. Launched in 2018, this award offers young researchers funding of up to 3,000 euros each year. For the 2026 edition, the application deadline is set for October 9th. One or more winners will be awarded.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Conduct research projects in green finance;
  • Hold a Ph.D. and be under 40 years old, or be a Ph.D. student who has not yet defended their thesis (provided the defense date is set);
  • Be affiliated with a French university and/or academic institution. The interpretation of affiliation is broad. The French academic institution may or may not be your main employer. You could be affiliated to a French academic institution through a visiting program, teaching collaboration, or other similar schemes.


How to Apply:

Candidates must complete an online application form.

The application file must include the following documents (in English and PDF format):

  • A curriculum vitae;
  • A selection of published or under-review articles;
  • A cover letter outlining the motivation for the application.

Timeline:

  • Application deadline: October 9th, 2026.
  • Winners will be notified around mid-November.
  • The award will be presented during an academic conference “Green Finance Research Advances (GFRA)” organized by the Banque de France in December 2026.

The Award Includes:

Funding of 3,000 euros.

Selection Committee:

The award selection committee is composed of renowned professors who have been involved in these subjects for many years, both in France and abroad.
