Conference on Advances in causal inference for macroeconomic policies

The Banque de France, in collaboration with the Euro Area Business Cycle Network, will host a two-day conference on Advances in Causal Inference for Macroeconomic Policies on 16–17 April 2026 in Paris.

The conference brings together leading researchers to present recent methodological and empirical advances relevant for macroeconomic policymaking. The programme features contributions on structural VAR identification, monetary policy shock measurement, frequency and aggregation issues in macroeconomic analysis, as well as broader methodological challenges related to weak instruments.
