Nathalie Aufauvre has been appointed Secretary General of the Autorité de contrôle prudentiel et de résolution (ACPR)

Upon the proposal of the Governor of the Banque de France, Chairman of the ACPR, Bruno Le Maire, Minister of the Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty, has appointed Nathalie Aufauvre as Secretary General of the Autorité de contrôle prudentiel et de résolution (ACPR). As of Monday 9 January 2023, she will take over from Dominique Laboureix, who has been appointed President of the Single Resolution Board in Brussels.

A graduate of the Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris and holder of a master's degree in economics, Nathalie Aufauvre joined the Banque de France in 1984.

After holding a number of management positions in financial market and monetary policy directorates, she was appointed in 2002 Deputy Director of the Directorate General Operations and then, in 2006, Finance Director and Director of Management Control and Budget. She was then appointed Secretary General of the Banque de France in 2012.

In October 2017, Nathalie Aufauvre was appointed Director General of Financial Stability and Operations of the Banque de France. In this capacity, she has had a wide range of responsibilities at the international level, including: member of the FSB Standing Committee on Assessment of Vulnerabilities (SCAV), member of the Committee on the Global Financial System (CGFS) and the BIS Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS). A member of the NGFS Steering Committee since its launch in January 2018, Nathalie Aufauvre has also been Chair of the Banque de France's Climate Change Centre since April 2021.
