From September 29 to October 1, 2026, teams at the BdF organized this visit, which provided an opportunity to present the systems, methods, and tools used to support performance and resource management within the institution. Specifically, experts from the BdF spoke about the organization of the management control function, the principles of cost accounting, methods for calculating and analyzing costs, and the use of management data in decision-making processes.
Throughout the three-day event, participants discussed challenges related to cost control, optimal resource allocation, and performance monitoring in a constantly evolving environment. These discussions allowed for a comparison of the two central banks' approaches and the identification of common issues regarding governance, performance indicator development, and business unit support.
The working sessions also provided an opportunity to share concrete experiences and compare the practices and tools implemented within both institutions. These exchanges fostered constructive dialogue and mutual enrichment regarding the challenges faced by management control and cost accounting functions.
This study visit, conducted in a spirit of open communication, transparency, and trust, illustrates the strength of the relationship between the two institutions and the importance of central banks sharing expertise to support the evolution of management, steering, and performance analysis practices.
