The seminar will cover a wide range of topics, including:
- The operational framework of monetary policy and its implementation within the Euro-system
- The analytical framework of monetary policy
- Inflation targeting: indicators and expectations
- The term structure of interest rates
- Coordination, communication and transmission of monetary policy in an open economy
- Monetary policy and climate change
Target participants
The seminar is aimed at central bank economists involved in analyzing the stance of monetary policy (effectiveness in fighting inflation, transmission, coordination with other policies, etc.). Ideally, participants should have a preliminary knowledge of analytical tools (theoretical and empirical) in monetary economics.
The attendees might be invited to participate actively: contributing to a survey, discussing on-line with the speakers, sharing their experience, assessing the seminar.
Reminder :
- Only staff from public bodies (central bank, ministry, national statistical office…) may apply to IBFI seminars;
