As part of its efforts to expand its research activities, the Banque de France has set up close partnerships with three research institutes: the Paris School of Economics (PSE), the Toulouse School of Economics (TSE), and Sciences Po.
It also maintains strong ties with other research institutes, notably the Aix-Marseille School of Economics.
Through its Foundation for Research, the Banque de France regularly hosts researchers affiliated to foreign institutions. The Foundation’s flagship programme for encouraging economic research is its annual call for research proposals, under which winning entries from around the world are awarded research grants.
The Banque de France Foundation awards an annual Young Researcher in Economics Prize along with a Thesis Prize for work in the field of monetary, financial and banking economics. It also helps to finance symposiums on topics relating to monetary, financial and banking economics, and provides grants to research institutions specialising in this field.
