Impact of uncertainty shocks on the global economy

Banque de France, University College London and University of Leicester are co-organizing a workshop entitled “Impact of uncertainty shocks on the global economy” during May 12-13, 2016. The purpose of the workshop is to bring together researchers interested in the measurement, modelling, evaluation and analysis of macroeconomic uncertainties, with a special emphasis on the effects of uncertainty on the global economy.

Keynote speakers: Nick Bloom (Stanford University) and Barbara Rossi (Universitat Pompeu Fabra).

Selected papers presented in the conference will be considered for an expedited review process for a Journal of International Money and Finance special issue titled "Impact of uncertainty shocks on the global economy", which will be scheduled to be published in 2016. The special issue will be edited by Menzie Chinn, Laurent Ferrara and Raffaella Giacomini.

The workshop will be hosted by the University College London, School of Slavonic and East European Studies.
