Banque de France and CEPII jointly organize, on Wednesday 25th November, a workshop about the following subject: « French and European companies in international competition ». Focusing on foreign trade, this conference aims at presenting recent results using mainly microeconomic data.
It will include two parts. In the morning, academics will give presentations about firms’ data will dealing subjects such as external constraints or competitivity. In the afternoon, there will be two round tables:
1/ How to explain the different evolutions of foreign trade inside euro zone (France, Germany, Italy) over latest years?
2/ What are ongoing and future evolutions concerning foreign trade of main countries inside euro zone?
Economists and experts of foreign trade will participate in this workshop, from academic ground and/or policy-oriented institutions, mainly: Agnès Benassy-Quéré (CEPII), Gilbert Cette (Banque de France), Lionel Fontagné (PSE, Paris-I University, CEPII, Banque de France), Horst Raff (Kiel University)…
