"Understanding price dynamics: recent advances"

The Banque de France and the DGCCRF (with the financial support of ADRES) organize on October 15 and 16 2009 a conference on "Understanding price dynamics: recent advances". The aim of this conference is to present the recent advances on price rigidity and their consequences for the monetary policy. In particular, the following issues will be discussed: (i) microfoundations of price rigidity (ii) sectoral heterogeneity and price rigidity (iii) new macromodels incorporating price rigidity. Two invited lectures will give a large overview on microfoundations of price rigidity and behavioral aspects of price-setting.
