Conference CEPREMAP-Banque de France
" DSGE Modelling and Monetary Policy "

The Banque de France and the CEPREMAP organise on September 11-12 2008 a Conference on DSGE Modelling and Monetary Policy. The objective of this conference is to present the recent advances on DSGE modelling and their contribution to monetary policy analysis. More specifically the following issues will be treated: (i) nominal rigidities and economic agents heterogeneity, (ii) financial markets, money and asset prices and (iii) conduct of monetary policy. A roundtable will present different points of view on the utility of DSGE models as regular tools for policy-makers.

This Conference will bring together contributions of high level economists and experts coming from central banks, international institutions and universities: Timothy Cogley (University of California), Jordi Galí (Universitat Pompeu Fabra), Andrew Levin (Federal Reserve Board), Frank Smets (European Central Bank) or Carl Walsh (University of California).

The conference will take place at Palais Brongniart, Place de la Bourse, Paris (75002). http://www.banque-france.fr/typo3/mailto:1404-dsge-ut@banque-france.fr
