Competitiveness and corporate taxation : impact on multinationals’ activities

The Banque de France will organize a one day conference on “competitiveness and corporate taxation: impact on multinational's activities”. The conference will take place in Paris on December 8, 2014.

This conference aims at discussing the recent research on the impact of the activity of multinational companies on countries’ competitiveness, through the prism of fiscal competition as well as the profit shifting opportunities of multinationals operating in different jurisdictions, through in particular transfer prices in international trade.

The conference will have 5 academic contributions and a policy oriented discussion composed of a keynote speech by Prof. James Hines and a policy round-table on “Profit shifting by multinationals: consequences for economic policy”.
