Workshop on International Business Cycles

Workshop on International Business Cycles

Banque de France will host a research workshop on International Business Cycles on 4 July 2016.

The goal of the workshop is to create a forum for discussion on international business cycles starting from both theoretical and empirical contributions. Eleven researchers will present and discuss papers investigating international macroeconomic fluctuations focusing on a broad set of economic characteristics, i.e. capital flows, financial markets, firm structures, information diffusion and relative prices.

Paul Beaudry (University of British Columbia) will be the keynote speaker.

Ambrogio Cesa-Bianchi (Banque of England), Francois Gourio (Federal Reserve of Chicago), Jean Imbs (Paris School of Economics), Isabelle Mejean (École Polytechnique), Eric Monnet (Banque de France), Francesco Pappadà (Banque de France), Evgenia Passari (Paris Dauphine), Franck Portier (Toulouse School of Economics), Daniele Siena (Banque de France) and Martín Uribe (Columbia University) will intervene during the workshop.
