The Banque de France and Toulouse School of Economics (TSE) organize a one day conference on “Financial structure, financial stability and the economy”. This joint conference will take place in Paris on October, 20, 2017.
The conference aims to shed light on what are the characteristics of a resilient and growth promoting financial system, with a view on banking and financial markets integration in Europe. Research papers will analyze various issues such as the link between financial structure and growth, the impact of credit market integration—or lack thereof—on firms, and the extent to which integrated markets for capital financing can complement bank financing. A debate on the Capital Market Union as an important element of a broader financing union will close the conference.
