Banque de France and ESSEC Business School Workshop “Expectations and Forecasting in International Macroeconomics” - Paris, 10 décembre 2014

BANQUE DE FRANCE and ESSEC BUSINESS SCHOOL will organize a one-day workshop on “Expectations and Forecasting in International Macroeconomics”. This joint workshop will take place at the Banque de France in Paris on December 10, 2014.

In the wake of the Great Recession, accurately assessing current and future global economic conditions is a great challenge for economists. Against this background, understanding the expectations of economic actors is of major importance to anticipate future developments. In this workshop, we present recent academic research developments in this specific field that could be of interest for economists and policy-makers.

Invited speakers are Christiane Baumeister (Bank of Canada), Dick van Dijk (Erasmus University Rotterdam), Cees Diks (University of Amsterdam), Rafaella Giacomini (University College of London), Barbara Rossi (Universitat Pompeu Fabra) and Jonathan Wright (Johns Hopkins University).

Registration is free but the number of places is limited so we ask you to register (and commit to come) by sending an email to 1404-FORECASTING-ut@banque-france.fr
