The International Banking and Finance Institute
The Governor of Banque de France created the International Banking and Finance Institute (IBFI) in June of 1997. It is currently part of the Directorate General Economics and International.
In keeping with Banque de France’s policy of cooperation, the IBFI’s mission is to organise training seminars for the officers and executives of foreign central banks, in all areas of central banking and banking supervision, and to foster experience sharing between them.
The IBFI’s training programmes are built upon the expertise of Banque de France staff as well as on the skills of experts from other central banks, international institutions and the private sector, both banking and non-banking.
