Occasional papers
Since 2006, the Occasional Papers series has featured issues that are interesting for a wide audience, in particular policy makers, academics, the media and the general public. These papers are published in order to fuel the current economic debates and enable the Banque de France to benefit from external feedback. They are therefore still likely to be amended after being put on line.
They are published either in French or in English. The views expressed in these papers are those of the authors and do therefore not necessarily represent those of the Banque de France.
Unlike the periodical publications of the Banque de France, the Occasional Papers are not released according to a regular calendar (which explains the name given to the series). Also, what distinguishes them from the Bank's Working Papers is that they are less scientific and theoretical and that they cover topical issues and, in some cases, include recommendations.
