Financial institutions

The Banque de France compiles, both for its own needs and those of the ESCB, statistics on the different categories of resident financial institutions. The results by large network of credit institutions are presented by the Commission bancaire (see opposite).

In the near future, new data shall be published on insurance companies and securitization funds.


International banking activity

The activity of resident banks or French banks abroad is examined on a quarterly basis in partnership with the Bank for International Settlements.
